A fun way to serve Brussel Sprouts, my brother in law has an annual singular sprout eating at Christmas each year, although I'm pretty sure he hides it under the carrots. This year, with this recipe, could it be a changing moment?! I love sprouts and this is a fresh take on the usual recipes. It is also very easy to make!
- 600g Brussel Sprouts
- 80g, Chopped Chestnuts
2 Tbsp Mellow Turmeric Coconut Cooking Oil
- Salt & Pepper to taste
Slice the Brussels; this makes them faster to cook and also stops overcooking them.
On a medium heat, warm a large saucepan and melt 1Tbsp of the Mellow Turmeric Coconut Cooking Oil together with Brussels and gently sweat for 5 minutes. Chop the chestnuts and ad at the end of cooking and the last 1Tbsp of the Mellow Turmeric Coconut Cooking Oil; this will add the final flavour burst.
Season with salt and pepper and serve either immediately or warm.
